IMMIGRATION APPEALS

SMA are specialists in the immigration, nationality and asylum appeals process and can handle your case from the very outset in the First-Tier Tribunal and, if required, the Upper Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

The appeal hearing

Your appeal is a special and important day, it is your chance to present your case before an independent judge in order to allow them to make a decision by looking at the facts, listening to your story and considering the law.

At SMA, we understand the personal importance of an appeal to you and your life. We also understand the importance of ensuring every aspect of your appeal is meticulously prepared to maximise your chances of success. Your solicitors will be with you every step of the way, preparing your witness statement, advising you on the evidence needed to help your case, creating a professional and user-friendly appeal bundle, explaining the trial/hearing process and liaising with the barrister appointed to represent you in court.

We firmly believe that success is achieved through teamwork. We engage with your barrister from an early stage in the appeal process and discuss your case with them. The importance of engaging with your barrister from the outset is that they spend a considerable amount of time in court, observe how judges and the Home Office work and can advise on how best to prepare your case for your day in court.
